Twins Win Bid for Byung-Ho Park
The first half of the 2015 season gave Twins fans a glimmer of hope, but now they really have something to look forward to. Byung-Ho Park will add 53 home runs to their lineup, well, Korean home runs. How that translates will be the story for the Twins this year. Sure, this does create a potential logjam, but with offense at such a premium, that's a great problem to have. Mid-market teams have to delve a bit into the unknown to fund success, but even the lowest projections of Park improves the Twins lineup in 2016.
The winner in the bidding for the services for Korean first baseman Byung-ho Park is a bit of a shocker – the Minnesota Twins, who bid $12.85 million to earn the right to negotiate a contract with Park over the next 30 days.
