The Colorado Rockies have addressed a fairly dire need by signing Jason Motte and Chad Qualls to multi-year deals. The reliever market has become even more thin now as the Colorado Rockies have signed both Jason Motte and Chad Qualls to two-year deals.
Jason Motte had a 3.91 era in 48.1 innings in 2015, and Chad Qualls a 4.38 in 49.1 innings.  Both are very similar strike throwing veterans.  The Colorado Rockies are clearly looking for less expensive pitch efficiency out of their bullpen.  We'll see how that works out at Coors Field, where strikes can fly a long way.
