The Philadelphia Phillies have claimed Cardinals and former Angels outfielder Peter Bourjos off waivers, as Buster Olney of ESPN reports.

Bourjos will likely get another chance at a starting job with the Phillies. In his only full season with the Angels, he hit .271 with 220 totals bases. The Angels also thought he was a better defensive center fielder than Mike Trout.

General Manager Matt Klentak is obviously very familiar with Bourjos, and thinks he can help the Phillies. We shall see.
