MLB Reds Trade Rumors: Cincinnati Shopping Todd Frazier
The All-Star third baseman could be on his way out of Cincinnati. The Cincinnati Reds are making third baseman Todd Frazier in trade talks and would expect quite a haul in return, according to ESPN's Jayson Stark:
We've written previously about the state of the Cincinnati Reds, and how they are in a position to consider a big rebuild. Lucky for the Reds, they have some great sell high trade candidates and Todd Frazier is one of them. There are a couple of things working in their favor in a Todd Frazier trade. First, Frazier is coming off two career seasons hitting over .300 with 29 home runs in 2o14, and 35 in 2015. Frazier also plays a position (third base) where offensive production is difficult to find. Cincinnati would be in line for a significant return. The problem, is these are also great reasons to keep Frazier as a team cornerstone. The Reds will have to decide how far away they are from competing. I suspect a deep rebuild will be needed for the Reds to compete in the NL Central.
An exec of a team that's talked to the Reds says he's convinced Todd Frazier "is legitimately out there" to be traded for - for a big return— Jayson Stark (@jaysonst) November 16, 2015
