Yet another report that the Chicago Cubs are looking for middle of the rotation depth rather than a front end ace like David Price. There are a couple of possibilities here.  The Cubs are either looking to spread out their funds, or drive the price down for Price.  Pun intended. Both possibilities are most likely at play.  The Cubs will probably look elsewhere if the cost for David Price doesn't come down. Given the deep market, however, David Price will have a difficult time getting as much as he would have received in the 2014-15 offseason.
