The Chicago Cubs were already the Vegas World Series favorites for 2016. Then they signed John Lackey, Ben Zobrist, and now Jason Heyward. Needless to say, they will be a tough team to beat.
Heyward, an above average offensive player with upside, is primarily valued based on his defensive ability. He was the top defensive right fielder in 2016 with 22 defensive runs saved. We wrote about that here.
Heyward significantly improve the Cubs defensively and give their lineup even more depth.
