MLB Athletics Rumors: Henderson Alvarez to Sign with Oakland
The Oakland Athletics are said to be close to a deal with free agent starting pitcher Henderson Alvarez, as reported by Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.
The deal is worth $4 million plus incentives, as reported by Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports.

Henderson Alvarez was shockingly non-tendered by the Miami Marlins. Although he is recovering from Tommy John surgery, Alvarez was nothing short of an ace in 2014 with a 2.65 era in 187 innings.
Given the success of pitchers that undergo Tommy John Surgery, this is a great low risk, high reward move by the Oakland Athletics.
