Bud Norris Signs One-Year $2.5 Million Contract With Braves
Norris heads to Atlanta looking to re-build his value after a rough 2015 season. The Atlanta Braves have signed free agent pitcher Bud Norris to a one-year deal, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports:

According to Heyman, Norris' deal is worth $2.5 million for 2016 as the Braves add a veteran to a young pitching staff. Not sure how many times we can say the same thing about the Atlanta Braves, but why Bud Norris?! This offseason for the Braves have consisted of some odd combination of fire sale and patch work. My best guess is that Bud Norris is a low risk project. If he can put up decent numbers in the first half of the season, the Braves can flip him at the deadline. Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine.
