Blue Jays Re-Signs Marco Estrada
You can remove Marco Estrada’s name from the free agent market. The right-hander, 32, re-signed with the Toronto Blue Jays on a two-year deal, which will pay him $26.5 million, reports Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.
As we mentioned earlier, this is no surprise as he was a solid arm all season for the Blue Jays. Also, like the Dodgers, the Blue Jays need to hold onto the few solid rotation arms they still have. It will be interesting to see what the Blue Jays do this offseason with the change in their front office. Alex Anthopoulos was a bold general manager as we saw when he brought in David Price and Troy Tulowitzki. The Blue Jays will bring most of their team back, but may have trouble re-signing David Price given the price tag. The are one of many teams that may be active in the free agent pitcher market.
