J.A. Happ sign a three year deal with the Toronto Blue Jays worth $36 million, as reported by Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com.

The Blue Jays priority is of course to re-sign David Price, but the high priced free agent has many possible suitors.  J.A. Happ deepens the Blue Jays rotation, and gives them another option should they not retain the services of David Price.

Happ had a 3.61 era in 172 innings in 2015, split between the Seattle Mariners and Pittsburgh Pirates.

Toronto will maintain their high-powered offense, but many of the teams in the AL east will be better in 2016.  Addressing their pitching needs if crucial for the Blue Jays this offeason.
